WANTED: Reviews for our FireFox Add-on

We recently released our FireFox Add-on and would love to hear feedback from our users. You can provide feedback in a couple of different ways:

1. Individual Reviews on the Mozilla / FireFox Add-on site. If you haven't been to the site before, check it out. There are many awesome tools other people and companies have developed.

2. On our forum (Login with your UberNote account) where you can contribute to the discussion with both us and other UberNote users.

Key Feature: Todo Items (Inside Notes)

As we've developed UberNote it's focus has become an all purpose knowledge management tool, in addition to an awesome productivity tool.

One differentiating feature UberNote has that isn't in ANY other online notes application is the todo item / task item / check box. . . Ok, maybe that is not entirely true, BUT the difference is small but extremely powerful. You can put the item anywhere in any note and easily search for a note with a task left open.

The idea came from how I take paper notes and have seen others take notes as well. I'm usually writing a normal note, and one of the notes happens to be a follow up item of some sort. So in the inner margin I put a little box next to the item, then carry on with my notes. Later I go thumbing though the notebook looking for the boxes in those margins, hoping I find all of them so I can take action. With UberNote, I can find any open item easily.

Try it out, it's a seamless way to integrate your task items into any of your notes, allowing you to continue in your thought stream and not have to switch to some other application.

Firefox Add-on Toolbar for Note Management

Our new Firefox toolbar gives you quick access to the most commonly used features of UberNote, and runs separately from the main web application. You can use it to directly clip web pages, bookmark web pages to your notes, add new notes, view notes, enter the web application, and search your notes.

Try flipping it between "Expanded" and "Collapsed" mode!

Jott + UberNote = Mobile Note Goodness

Jott is one of those services we really love. Everyone working here is a constant note taker. I'm always thinking about a problem or coming up with new ideas, which I quickly add to UberNote when I'm at a computer. The odd times when I am not at my computer, I use Jott to capture those ideas directly into my UberNote account.

For a long time we've wanted to build out a UberNote Jott link and finally got around to doing it a couple of months ago. We've just been selfishly using it ourselves. Ok, we really just wanted to make sure it was ready for UberNote users. So for all you existing Jott and UberNote users here is how to setup your UberNote Jott Link. If you are not a user, we highly recommend you sign up. Jott is an awesome services and their voice translation is exceptional.

1. Login to your Jott account
2. Go to My Links
3. Add a Custom Link using the setup below:

Web Clip with UberClip and UberMark

We have been really pleased with the release of UberClip and UberMark last month. The number of notes added from our bookmarklets has certainly been a surprise to us. This has helped open our eyes to new usage scenarios and given us ideas for future features.

The ability to clip your part of the web through and have it all searchable within your own notes has proven extremely valuable. Personally I use it to clip code snippets, blog articles, sites I want to come back to... In any moment I can search and mine that data along with my own notes to give me a view of my data that is difficult to come by in any other way.
